The discussions took place this week in Washington between US high-ranking officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and members of an Israeli delegation. According to US authorities, if Hezbollah militants launch more extensive attacks on Israel, the Jewish state may respond with force. Therefore, the meeting also addressed possibilities for de-escalating tensions.
