Iran Warns Israel About the Risk of New War in the Region

Any reckless decision by Israel, against the backdrop of deteriorating relations with Lebanon, could lead to a new war in the region. This was stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Iran's permanent representative to the UN.

"Any hasty decision by the Israeli occupying regime, taken to save itself, could draw the region into a new war," the statement said. It also noted that a potential escalation of the conflict could result in the destruction of Lebanon's infrastructure.

The Iranian representative at the UN expressed confidence that should the Jewish state make such "thoughtless decisions" in wartime, there would be one loser: Israel.
