Why Did Putin Gift a Second Aurus to Kim Jong Un?

During his visit to Pyongyang, Russian President Vladimir Putin gifted a second Aurus to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, stating that it is a practical and suitable gift. Moreover, the recently gifted vehicle is distinct from the one previously given, as noted by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president, according to TASS.

“They are different cars. One is long, with an extended base. This one is shorter,” explained the Kremlin representative while discussing the second gifted vehicle.

Peskov added, “Considering the regime under which Koreans are forced to live, it is clear that such gifts have practical significance and are necessary for use by the head of state.”

Peskov emphasized, “For intergovernmental relations, especially for a country that is directly our neighbor, this is not an expensive gift.”

It is worth mentioning that earlier, Putin had gifted a Russian Aurus brand representative car to Kim Jong Un.
