Issues Are Accumulating, Including Those Related to Global Security: Peskov
Russia is ready to engage in dialogue with the United States on issues of strategic stability, but this is only possible in conjunction with discussions on the situation surrounding Ukraine and other matters. This was stated to journalists by Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We are open to dialogue, but a broad, comprehensive dialogue that encompasses all platforms, including the conflict in Ukraine and the involvement of the U.S.,” the spokesperson declared.
He expressed confidence that the authors of relevant proposals from the U.S. “are not experiencing difficulties in exploring Russia's position, as articulated by the highest political leadership.”
“When discussing the prospects for dialogue, the President of Russia said that we are ready for dialogue with the U.S. and are interested in it, but only in a comprehensive manner. It is not possible to isolate just one of the accumulated issues,” Peskov stated.
At the same time, he emphasized: “I am convinced that such dialogue is very much in demand and necessary, as issues are accumulating, including those related to global security.”
