INSPECTION: Production of Soft Drink Factory Suspended

The inspection conducted by the Regional Center of the Food Safety Inspection Body of Armenia in the Kotayk province revealed violations of food hygiene requirements at the soft drink production facility belonging to "Tereza Gevork" LLC (located in the village of Zovuni, Kotayk province, brand name: "Chagh-chagh Takhakor").

In particular, the design, structure, and layout of the production buildings did not ensure the exclusion of cross-contamination between food raw materials and products, and the potential for technological operations without conflicting flows of contaminated and clean items. Additionally, the production facilities lacked measures to prevent the entry of animals, including rodents and insects, and did not prevent the accumulation of dirt or the formation of mold inside the produced food items. The facilities were not equipped with natural or mechanical ventilation systems, and the surfaces of the floors and ceilings were not made from waterproof, washable materials. Furthermore, the food establishment did not provide changing rooms for staff.

As a result, the production activities of the soft drink factory have been suspended, and a deadline has been established for rectifying the identified violations.
