VIDEO: 12-Year-Old Schoolboy in Chita Sets Fire to Catkin, Accidentally Burns 6 Cars

The fire occurred on the evening of June 18 near a garage in the Chernishevsky district of Chita, used by a driving school. The blaze destroyed six vehicles.

Police reviewed surveillance footage, interviewed witnesses, and identified a potential suspect. A 12-year-old schoolboy is suspected of igniting a catkin, leading to the incident. He has been questioned in the presence of his parents.

An investigation is underway, and a decision will be made based on the results in accordance with the laws of the Russian Federation.
