Video: Head of Dagestan Publishes Footage of Synagogue Set Ablaze by Terrorists in Derbent
The head of Dagestan, Sergey Melikov, has released footage of a synagogue in Derbent that was set ablaze by terrorists. It is reported that unknown individuals fired shots at the synagogue and a church in the city of Derbent.
Following the attack, a fire broke out at the synagogue. Authorities are currently working to identify the assailants. The Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the activation of a "listening" plan, stating that the suspects fled in a white Volkswagen Polo.
At approximately the same time, there were also shootings in Makhachkala, where unknown individuals fired at a traffic police department. Preliminary reports indicate that two police officers have been killed, and six others injured.
