Ukraine Plans to Invite Russia to Next Peace Summit: Bloomberg
Ukraine may invite Russia to the next meeting with international partners aimed at developing a framework for future peace negotiations. This was reported by Bloomberg, citing a statement from Andrei Yermak, head of the Ukrainian President's Office.
The publication notes that the organization of the next peace conference is already being discussed following the summit in Switzerland, and Yermak has expressed the opinion of involving Russia.
“We believe it will be possible to invite a representative of Russia,” Yermak said during negotiations with partners on Tuesday, June 18.
Bloomberg reports that at the summit in Switzerland, Ukraine was unable to secure support from all participating countries, with South Africa, India, and Brazil refusing to sign the final communiqué. Many delegates noted that without Russia's participation, the conference is “condemned to failure,” the publication states.
