The Center of It All is the Armenian Statehood: The Republic of Armenia - Nikol Pashinyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan hosted participants of the 'iGorts' program aimed at engaging diaspora specialists within the state governance bodies of the Republic of Armenia.

The Prime Minister welcomed them, emphasizing that such meetings have become traditional and provide an opportunity to discuss various issues. Nikol Pashinyan highlighted the importance of the 'iGorts' program, noting that it is the only initiative attempting to connect our compatriots in the diaspora with the state system.

He stated that profound changes are taking place in Armenia today, which primarily have socio-psychological significance. 'These are shifts in thinking, and I believe that such changes are inevitably occurring and will also happen in the diaspora. It is crucial that we correctly map this changing mindset. As a result, we must inevitably acknowledge that at the center of this is the Armenian statehood: the Republic of Armenia,' the Prime Minister pointed out.

Simultaneously, the head of the executive believes that the 'iGorts' program is becoming more significant because it provides our compatriots in the diaspora the opportunity to see Armenia from all perspectives, creating an organic link between the Republic of Armenia and the diaspora.

Chief Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for his high appraisal and provided details regarding the program's progress. In particular, it was noted that out of the 50 participants in the program for 2023-2024, 7 have already received Armenian citizenship and decided to relocate to Armenia. According to Sinanyan, 70 percent of participants from the last three years have decided to tie their future to Armenia and relocate to their homeland.

The participants of the 'iGorts' program expressed their gratitude to the Armenian government for the opportunity to work in various state departments and shared their work experiences and impressions.

Subsequently, Nikol Pashinyan answered questions from the meeting participants, relating to government programs in cyber security, tourism, education, the activities of the state governance system, and other topics.
