Pashinyan Again Discusses Border Demarcation: 'Hraparak'

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has once again brought up the topic of border demarcation in Syunik, which had been sidelined due to concessions in Tavush and the sacred movement. This was reported by the newspaper 'Hraparak'.

Pashinyan has reiterated the issue of border demarcation, not hiding that Syunik province could be next. He mentioned that the decision will be made by the border demarcation commissions of Armenia and Azerbaijan after the approval of the regulations. The deadline for the approval of these regulations is July 1.

There is excitement in government circles regarding this news. The point is that after Tavush, it was unclear where the next border demarcation could take place. If it were to happen, for example, in the regions of Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor, where we have potential gains, judging by Pashinyan's willingness to make concessions, it is likely we would gain nothing. Hence, it was not excluded that people would once again take to the streets. A new concession could make the situation uncontrollable, turning a spark into a fire. Therefore, the ruling party is pleased that border demarcation will continue in already surrendered and fragmented Syunik, where Azerbaijan is unlikely to make new demands. They hope everything will go smoothly.
