Video: Freight Train Collides with Passenger Train in India, Casualties Reported

A collision occurred between a passenger train and a freight train in West Bengal, India. This was reported by the Chief Minister of the state, Mamata Banerjee, on her microblog.

Details of the incident have not yet been disclosed; however, according to ndtv.com, five passengers of the passenger train have been confirmed dead, and at least 25 others have sustained injuries.

Banerjee reported that medical teams and rescue workers are already on the scene. Preliminary information indicates that the freight train collided with the Kanchenjunga Express passenger train.
