Political Consultations Held Between the Foreign Ministries of Armenia and Ukraine in Kyiv
On June 17, political consultations were held in Kyiv between the foreign ministries of Armenia and Ukraine. The Armenian delegation was led by Deputy Foreign Minister Mnatsakan Safaryan, while the Ukrainian side was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Yevhen Perebiynis.
According to the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the consultations addressed a wide range of issues on the bilateral political agenda and discussed prospects for further activation of cooperation in areas of mutual importance. The parties reviewed issues regarding cooperation in trade, economic, legal, and other sectors.
The sides exchanged views on matters of mutual interest within the international and regional agenda. The counterparts emphasized the importance of ongoing contacts at various levels between the two countries and the regular exchange of ideas.
The Ukrainian side was briefed on the situation in the region resulting from Azerbaijan's aggression and the occupation of the territory of the Republic of Armenia, as well as on Armenia's efforts towards normalizing relations.
Mnatsakan Safaryan informed the Ukrainian delegation about the “Peace Crossroad” initiative presented by the Armenian government, aimed at ensuring regional stability and economic development, which is based on the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, reciprocity, and equality.
