I Will Achieve the Justification of Myself and All Other Defendants: Kerobyan Posts

My four-month house arrest has come to an end. This was noted by former Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan on his Facebook page.

“Dear friends and relatives, my four-month house arrest has expired. During this time, I have received the unconditional love and support of my large family every day, as well as from my friends, colleagues, and many good people who provided such powerful support that one could only dream of. When I made a list of those to whom I should express my gratitude for their care during this time, it turned out to be more than 400 people. It will take some time until I do that, so I ask you to be patient, just as you have been up to now.

As some friends predicted before my isolation, I am emerging from this experience stronger, more resilient, and enriched with new knowledge. I read a significant part of the Bible, and I will finish it soon. I read and re-read several other literary and professional books. I completed an advanced course in machine learning from Stanford University, as well as Python courses from the University of Michigan; I delved into interesting research related to artificial intelligence and its applications. I can confidently say that I have acquired a new profession. I also immersed myself in psychology, read several books in that field, and strengthened that aspect of myself, which I considered one of my relatively weaker points. I also unintentionally and thoroughly studied criminal legislation and, in general, the workings of the law enforcement system.

The preliminary investigation of the criminal case is already nearing completion, and my initial stance regarding its fictitious nature and other ulterior motives has only been reinforced. I eagerly await the moment when it will be possible to present how the charges are “formed” against honest and incorruptible people, those whose motivation is genuine state and public interest and working devotedly for Armenia, rather than a widespread disinterest that is deeply afflicted.

With particular sorrow, I want to mention the former Deputy Minister of Economy, Ani Ispriyan, whose dedicated and heartfelt work received such “gratitude” from the Government, where she hurried to work during the tumult of the 44-day war. I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to Ani and hope that one day Armenia will learn to properly value its sons and daughters, who, driven by patriotism, come together from different corners of the world to strengthen their country.

I will, of course, achieve the justification of myself and all other defendants, whom the law enforcement system has twisted and forced into a scenario of discontinuation of criminal prosecution based on “repentance.” Just last week, we submitted complaints against those illegal decisions made by the prosecutor's office. Under my leadership, I have always encouraged working honestly, patriotically, and courageously, and such work should only be met with gratitude.

At this moment, the last, but perhaps the most important thing is that my beloved eldest daughter, Nane, gave me my first granddaughter, who has become a new source of love for me,” he wrote.
