Another Escalation of Tensions: Peskov

The statement by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg regarding the necessity to discuss the readiness of the alliance's nuclear weapons for combat is yet another escalation of tensions. This was stated by Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov.

“What Mr. Stoltenberg has said clearly does not align with the declaration adopted the day before at the conference on Ukraine in Switzerland, which states that such rhetoric should be avoided,” Peskov said.

Earlier, it was reported that NATO member countries have begun consultations on the need to prepare nuclear weapons for combat.
