Even within the Kyiv regime, there will likely be more sober minds, says Peskov

Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov is confident that the peace initiatives proposed by Russian leader Vladimir Putin will be given careful consideration, and that even among the authorities in Kyiv, there will be 'sober minds.'

Peskov highlighted that at the Swiss Congress regarding Ukraine, taking place this weekend, efforts to find paths to peaceful resolution that consider the interests of all parties are absent.

'This concerns President Putin's peace initiative. I have no doubt that it should be examined very carefully. Even if political figures like Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly attempt to reject such an initiative, there will likely be more sober minds within the Kyiv regime who will think ten times about whether it is worth waiting for conditions to worsen further,' Peskov stated.
