Poland's President Calls Lukashenko a 'Puppet of Putin'

Poland's President Andrzej Duda, during his speech at the peace summit in Switzerland, emphasized that the blame for the ongoing war in Ukraine rests solely on Russia. However, he pointed out that Belarus is also culpable for Russia's aggressive offensive.

Duda stated that the Russian Federation remains an empire that has failed to overcome its 'past demons' and has not transitioned past decolonization. He also highlighted that by starting a war in Europe, Russia has not acted independently.

"Let me refer to the role played by Putin's puppet, Alexander Lukashenko, in this war. Mocking his own people, he not only allowed Russia to attack from his territory but also initiated a series of hybrid attacks," Duda said.

He added that the Ukrainian state has the right to defend itself against Russian aggression. It has the full right to protect its sovereignty and independence in accordance with international law. And Western partners have no right to halt their support.

It should be noted that on June 15, a peace summit regarding the resolution of the war in Ukraine commenced in Switzerland.
