A 755 Million Dram Seizure Imposed on Ishkhan Zakaryan's Assets

Member of Parliament Ishkhan Zakaryan, along with his wife, son, and daughter-in-law, were summoned to the General Prosecutor's Office on June 17 to familiarize themselves with the materials related to the examination of their property, as reported by "Hetq."

An investigation has been conducted into the assets of Ishkhan Zakaryan, his wife Gayane Soghomonyan, his son Vardan Zakaryan, and his daughter-in-law Seda Adamyan. A summary report has been compiled; however, the prosecutor's office has not yet disclosed what assets, including monetary claims, are involved in this confiscation request. The rationale behind this decision is that after reviewing the case materials, new evidence may emerge, and the list of allegedly illegally obtained assets might change.

It is noteworthy that Ishkhan Zakaryan was elected as an MP in 2021 as part of the opposition "I Have Honor" coalition. He later left the coalition and now serves as an independent MP. Previously, he was a member of the "Tsarukyan" faction, and from 2007 to 2017, he was the President of the Audit Chamber.
