Sweden Claims Russian Su-24 Violated Its Airspace

Swedish military officials announced on Saturday that a Russian Su-24 bomber violated the country's airspace near Gotland island, according to European media reports.

According to Swedish sources, the incident occurred last Friday and did not last long. “The command of the Swedish Air Force warned the pilot of the Russian aircraft,” the statement from the Swedish military command reads. Following this, two Swedish Air Force fighters took to the air, after which the Su-24 left the airspace of the country.
