Car Accident on Goris-Khndzorhesk Highway: Casualties and Victims

The National Center for Crisis Management received information on June 13 at 15:12 that a traffic accident occurred on the road leading to the village of Hartashen in the Syunik Province, resulting in injuries and a trapped citizen.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service, a firefighting and rescue team from the regional rescue department was dispatched to the site.

It has been determined that at the 9th kilometer of the Goris-Khndzorhesk highway, an "Opel" car (driver: N. D., born in 1972) collided with a "Mitsubishi" truck (driver: H. H., born in 1998). The driver of the "Opel" vehicle has died.

Before the rescue teams arrived, the driver of the "Mitsubishi" truck and a passenger, A. S. (born in 2010), were extricated from the vehicle by local residents and handed over to the paramedics. The injured individuals were hospitalized at a medical center.

Rescue workers have disconnected the vehicles from their power sources, closed the gas cylinder valves, and transported N. D.'s body to the morgue.
