Mandates are Still Needed for Certain Actions: Garnik Danielyan
Recent discussions in the political arena have once again centered on the parliamentary opposition's potential resignation of their mandates. Some believe that if the processes for expressing no confidence in the Prime Minister or the resignation of the government do not succeed, the next logical step should be the resignation of mandates. Is there such an issue on the agenda of the Sacred Movement, and is it possible that such a demand will be put before the opposition in the near future, which some believe could lead to a political crisis? The newspaper "Hayrapet" asked Garnik Danielyan, one of the leaders of the "Tavush for the Homeland" movement and a member of the "Armenia" faction.
“A crisis does not arise; even we have stated that there will be no crisis. Now we have lost the positions of committee chairs and the deputy speaker of parliament; did a crisis arise? It did not. There will not be one in the case of mandates either. Moreover, the movement has a program, and the sacred father has also spoken about this; we still need the mandates for certain actions, which involves not only the impeachment and no-confidence processes but also others that will take place,” Danielyan said.
