Discuss Putin's Proposal If You Want to Save the World, Zakharova Says

Participants of the conference in Switzerland on the issue of Ukraine should discuss Russian President Vladimir Putin's peace proposals if they want to "save the world," said Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, in an interview with TASS on the eve of the Swiss conference.

"If you want to save the world, discuss Vladimir Putin's proposal. The President of Russia said and demonstrated everything about the real path to peace. Only those who do not want peace can fail to see or understand this," she stated.

Earlier, Putin presented new peace proposals for resolving the conflict in Ukraine, which involve recognizing the status of Crimea, the DPR, the LPR, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions as part of Russia, the non-alignment and non-nuclear status of Ukraine, its demilitarization and denationalization, and the lifting of anti-Russian sanctions. This initiative was rejected by the office of Vladimir Zelensky.
