Three Women Attack Police Officer with Knife in Yerevan, Beat and Insult Him, Accuse Him of Murder

On May 21, at around 3:35 PM, three women visited the Marash police department of the Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs, allegedly trying to meet with the department head, reports Shamshyan.com.

While walking to the head's office, the women noticed a police operative from the criminal investigation group in the corridor and launched an attack on him, delivering blows with their hands and feet to different parts of his body, causing him physical pain. They then shouted sexual insults at him for an extended period, accusing him of being involved in a murder.

At approximately 3:40 PM, the women were arrested on suspicion of hooliganism and physical aggression. Police identified the suspects as 50-year-old Tigranuhy K., a resident of Yerevan; 28-year-old Lusine G., from the Kotayk region; and 33-year-old Anahit G., also from Yerevan, with one of them found in possession of a kitchen knife.

Documentation regarding the incident has been prepared and forwarded to the Central Investigation Division of the Yerevan Investigative Committee for the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts.
