NATO Responds to Putin's Statement

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has stated that Russian President Vladimir Putin's proposal regarding Ukraine is not considered peaceful. His remarks were quoted by RIA Novosti.

According to him, Putin's proposal implies that 'Russia has the right to occupy significant territories of Ukraine.' Stoltenberg emphasized, 'This proposal does not indicate goodwill; it shows Russia's desire to achieve military objectives.'

He added that 'this is not a proposal for peace.'

The NATO Secretary General also noted that alliance countries will continue to provide military support to Ukraine.

It is worth recalling that Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the Foreign Ministry building, discussed the war with Ukraine, outlining the conditions for starting negotiations with Kyiv and ceasing fire.
