Euro 2024 Football Championship Kicks Off Today

On June 14, one of the most anticipated football tournaments, EURO 2024, kicks off. The European Championship 2024 will take place in Germany from June 14 to July 14.

The top two teams from each group, along with the four best third-placed teams, will advance to the Round of 16. A total of 24 teams are participating.

This upcoming Euro will see Greece, a past champion, missing from the tournament, and the former USSR and Czechoslovakia were dissolved in the early 1990s. The current champions of Europe, the Italian national team, defeated England in the final of the last tournament.

The most titled teams are Germany and Spain, each with three titles. Spain remains the only team to have defended its title, becoming champions twice in a row. Germany has participated in the tournament the most times, with 13 participations, followed by Spain with 11. Germany has also reached the finals the most, with 6 appearances.
