The ‘Alternative’ Road to Kiran Village is Unsafe: Arman Tatoyan
Arman Tatoyan, the former human rights defender of Armenia, has presented a report warning that it is necessary to internationally inform about Azerbaijan's aggressive policies towards Armenia that threaten its security and grossly violate internationally guaranteed rights.
For example:
- In Tavush, as a result of the so-called ‘demarcation’ of the Armenian state border, Azerbaijani armed forces are unjustifiably located near villages, which endangers the safety of the people and grossly violates their rights.
- The ‘alternative’ road to Kiran village in Tavush is unsafe; the village is under Azerbaijani threat.
- The 7th-century Holy Mary Church of Voskepar has come under the state border—immediately in the line of Azerbaijani fire.
- The roads to the villages of Azatamut, Kayaran, Aygehovit, Vazashen, Voskepar, and others are unsafe, putting these villages at risk of isolation.
- Residents of Armenian communities face civil homes under Azerbaijani control.
This alarming situation calls for immediate attention.
