The ‘Alternative’ Road to Kiran Village is Unsafe: Arman Tatoyan

Arman Tatoyan, the former human rights defender of Armenia, has presented a report warning that it is necessary to internationally inform about Azerbaijan's aggressive policies towards Armenia that threaten its security and grossly violate internationally guaranteed rights.

For example:

  1. In Tavush, as a result of the so-called ‘demarcation’ of the Armenian state border, Azerbaijani armed forces are unjustifiably located near villages, which endangers the safety of the people and grossly violates their rights.
  2. The ‘alternative’ road to Kiran village in Tavush is unsafe; the village is under Azerbaijani threat.
  3. The 7th-century Holy Mary Church of Voskepar has come under the state border—immediately in the line of Azerbaijani fire.
  4. The roads to the villages of Azatamut, Kayaran, Aygehovit, Vazashen, Voskepar, and others are unsafe, putting these villages at risk of isolation.
  5. Residents of Armenian communities face civil homes under Azerbaijani control.

This alarming situation calls for immediate attention.
