Yerevan Metro Issues Statement

Eight out of the 32 new rolling stock purchased with government funding are already in operation in the metro system. This was announced by the Yerevan Metro.

The statement noted that work in the metro is proceeding as normal. “During the reporting period, the number of passenger transports in the metro amounted to 530,535. A total of 2,962 train sets were put into service, including 550 three-car trains, 1,384 two-car trains, and 1,028 single-car trains. The planned passenger transport was 514,267, achieving a performance rate of 103.2%,” the statement read.
