Truck Involved in Fatal Accident with Pedestrian in Yerevan

Today, on June 10, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred in Yerevan. Around 12:20 PM, 41-year-old Samvel A., a resident of Yerevan, struck a pedestrian, 74-year-old Nanuli K., with his SHACMAN truck on Armenakyan Street in Norq-Marash, just 2 meters beyond the designated pedestrian area in front of 'Yerevan City.'

According to shamshyan.com, the driver did not flee the scene and called for an ambulance. However, the medical team that arrived promptly confirmed the pedestrian's death. Officers from the patrol service of the Yerevan City Police were dispatched to the scene. Information about the incident has been forwarded to the investigative department of the Committee of Investigations of the Republic of Armenia, specifically to the section investigating road traffic crimes, where an investigative group has arrived.

A criminal proceeding has been initiated regarding the case. By the order of the investigator, the vehicle has been transferred to a secured area of the Yerevan City Police. The driver was subjected to a sobriety test at the scene and was found to be sober.
