Explosion at Arms Factory in Poland

A powerful explosion occurred at the Mesko munitions factory located in the Swietokrzyskie Voivodeship in southeastern Poland. This was announced on RMF FM by the director of the enterprise, Elzbieta Sreniawska, as reported by Wyborcza.

"An explosion took place in the missile fuel center that was commissioned several years ago," she stated, adding that there may be casualties as a result of the incident. Currently, firefighting teams and a medical evacuation helicopter are working at the site.

The assistant commissioner of the local police department, Jaroslaw Mech, clarified in a conversation with Wyborcza that a 59-year-old employee of the enterprise has died due to the explosion.
