Disease Control Made Possible Through Digital Solutions, Says Deputy Minister of Health
Deputy Minister of Health Artak Jumayan participated in the high-level summit on Health Digital Transformation (I4L) organized jointly by the WHO European Regional Office and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) from June 7-9. This information was provided by the Armenian Ministry of Health.
The summit aimed to facilitate the exchange of experience and knowledge about the latest achievements and prospects in the field of digital health. Senior officials from WHO member states, experts, and relevant professionals attended the event to discuss pathways and opportunities for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
“E-health is one of the sector’s priorities, aimed at changing the face of public health. Through digital solutions, disease control will become possible, infrastructure modernization will be achieved, health information exchange will improve, system interoperability will enhance, and digital health policies along with the development and strategic assessment of the health workforce will be established,” stated Artak Jumayan. He also addressed recent changes in the e-health sector, the implementation of electronic prescriptions, and current solutions.
