Abnormal Heat Expected in Northern China
According to forecasts from China's meteorological services, this week, severe heat will spread across large areas of Northern China, bringing record-high temperatures to certain regions.
The heatwave, which began on Saturday, has already prompted government weather advisories and is a continuation of the unprecedented hot spring in the country. On Sunday, seven national meteorological stations in coastal Shandong province recorded the highest temperatures for early June. Meanwhile, in Northern Hebei province and Western Xinjiang region, temperatures exceeded 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit), as reported by the National Meteorological Center (NMC).
The NMC has stated that the abnormal heat is expected to intensify in the coming days.
