Two Border Guards Killed by Lightning Strike in Azerbaijan

Major Bakhtashli Bakhtash Elshan oglu and serviceman Nagiev Ali Elshan oglu were killed on June 9 by a lightning strike while performing their duties to protect the state border at the service area of the Lenkaran border detachment of the State Border Service (SBS) in Azerbaijan. This was reported by the APA news agency, referencing the Azerbaijani border service.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
