The Director of the NSS Rejects Pashinyan's Offer to Move to the Kondi Residence: 'Hraparak'

The newspaper 'Hraparak' reports: 'The anti-Russian policy of the authorities has created a deep rift between Nikol Pashinyan and the Director of the National Security Service (NSS), Armen Abazyan, as well as the old composition of the NSS. This agency is typically pro-Russian, and that is also the reason Pashinyan has been systematically reducing and weakening it over the past years, strengthening agencies aligned with European orientations.

'Abazyan is also opposing Pashinyan on another matter; he has been rejecting the Prime Minister's offer to become a resident of the governmental summer house for several years now. The law allows a limited number of officials to reside in the Kondi residences, one of whom is the NSS Director, for whom even a residence has been prepared, but he has declined to move in. Despite Pashinyan's efforts to persuade him, he remains unyielding.

'The Prime Minister could have barged into his house at 2 AM or invited him over to alleviate his suspicions and nighttime nightmares. This is also the reason why Abazyan does not enjoy the Prime Minister's confidence, and he is expected to be dismissed from his position at an appropriate moment.

'Currently, three families are residing in the summer houses: those of Pashinyan, Ararat Mirzoyan, and Alen Simonyan.'
