Traffic Update: Yerevan-Sevan and Other Roads in Armenia

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed roads within Armenia.

As of 10:00 AM, the Yerevan-Sevan highway in the section of 16-18 km is open, and traffic has been restored.

There has been a partial collapse of the pedestrian section of the bridge near the village of Getapnya in Ararat province, resulting in the suspension of traffic on the bridge.

According to the Road Department Foundation, the Vanadzor - Alaverdi - Ayrum - Bagratashen highway is passable only for passenger vehicles. Drivers are advised to detour the M-6 towards the Georgian border via the M-3 Margara-Vanadzor-Tashir-Armenia border and M-1 Yerevan-Gyumri-Armenia border international highways.

The M-4 Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan-Armenia border highway is passable from Dilijan to Ijevan; however, in some areas, traffic is one way.

The bridge leading to Khashtarak and Lusaghbyur villages is closed in both directions.

Regarding the Lars situation: According to information from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars highway is open for all types of vehicles.
