While Carrying Out Work on the Bus, the Lift Detached, and the Driver Remained Under the Bus

Today, on June 5, a tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 11:00 AM, operational information was received at the Ararat Regional Police Department and the Artashat Police Department that a citizen was trapped under a Mercedes passenger bus in front of school number 5 on Acharian Street in Artashat.

According to shamshyan.com, citizens, rescue workers, and patrol officers managed to pull out 39-year-old Hovik H., a resident of the Ararat region, from under the bus. He was subsequently transported to the 'Artashat' medical center in extremely critical condition.

While law enforcement was working at the scene, the Artashat Police Department was notified that the injured person had passed away without regaining consciousness. Preliminary information indicates that Hovik H. was performing maintenance work on the bus when a lift fell on him, which was the cause of death. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident.
