Two individuals injured in an accident on the Aparan-Spitak highway have died, with two others in moderate condition, according to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
According to the reported details, before the arrival of rescue teams, passengers of the "VAZ" vehicle, identified as M. D. (born in 1964), A. G. (born in 1989), and S. G. (born in 1966), were transported to the medical center, where S. G. died, while M. D. and A. G.'s health conditions were assessed as moderate.
Rescuers disconnected the vehicles, shut off the gas cylinder valve of the "VAZ" vehicle, and with special equipment, extracted driver S. G. (born in 1974) from the car, carried him on a stretcher, and brought him closer to the ambulance. He was hospitalized, where S. G. (born in 1974) also died.
Earlier reports indicated that on May 24 at 08:24, the Crisis Management National Center received information about an accident near the intersection of the village of Nigavan in Aragatsotn, with one citizen trapped and in need of rescue assistance.
A firefighting-rescue squad from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' regional rescue department was dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that at the 3rd kilometer of the Aparan-Spitak highway, a collision occurred between a "Renault" truck (driver K. A., born in 1984) and a "VAZ" vehicle (driver S. G., born in 1974), resulting in the driver of the "VAZ" being trapped inside the cabin.
