During the discussion of the 2023 budget execution, the Executive Director of Public Television of Armenia, Hovhannes Movsisyan, stated that the organization does not receive additional funding for many obligations placed upon it. "Since 2015, the budget of Public Television has not undergone any changes. Everyone seems to think that a lot of money is being allocated to Public TV, but that is not the case. The television station has been operating without a single dram increase in its budget since 2015. This is a problem for us," said the television director.

According to Movsisyan, the station often has to resort to borrowing funds from the budget.
