VIDEO: Alen Simonyan on Zakharova's Statements
I do not comment on lies and absurdities. This was stated today, June 7, by the President of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during a conversation with reporters in the National Assembly, regarding the call made by Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, to Armenian parliamentarians about a list of supposedly deceased individuals in Bucha that was reportedly provided by Kyiv.
“She also mentioned that some delegation has gone to Ukraine. No delegation has gone from Armenia, but I can ask Ms. Zakharova or the Foreign Ministry to allow my press office or my assistant to convey, for example, the names of over 200 deceased Armenians during the recent military operations in Artsakh. I can also provide the names of more than 100,000 refugees, if that interests them, from the area where they were engaged in peacekeeping activities. Overall, I do not comment on absurdities and lies, which have become a method of operation. She is simply speaking falsehoods,” said the head of the National Assembly.
In response to the remark that the mayor of Nor Nork had gone to Ukraine, Alen Simonyan sarcastically replied, “I will convey this to the Nor Nork municipality; they will officially respond to the Russian Foreign Ministry representative. I promise that the municipality will respond or write something. Perhaps even our neighbor's husband went to Ukraine. No legislator can go anywhere without anyone knowing, let alone a parliamentary group. It’s a lie, it’s falsehoods.”
