Vendors at Komitas Market Can Continue Operations for Another Three Months: Azatyan
We met with the vendors at Komitas Market and informed them that they can freely continue their operations for another three months. This was announced by the head of the Arabkir administrative district, Aram Azatyan, on his Facebook page.
“Today, under the leadership of Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan, we met with the vendors at Komitas Market and informed them that, as a result of negotiations we have conducted under the instruction of Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan, they can continue their activities freely for another three months. During this period, efforts will be made to find alternative locations for the market,” he wrote.
We also visited the construction site of a park and recreation center at 49/9 Komitas Street and acquainted ourselves with ongoing works. A designated area for dog walking is being constructed in the area of Kanaker HPP, with the work nearing completion. We also visited a local kindergarten that is in a hazardous condition and will be dismantled for the construction of a new building.
In the newly renovated yard space of Kanaker HPP, we met with local residents to hear their concerns and suggestions. We presented to Armen Pambukhchyan the project for the construction of a pathway adjacent to the new road at the end of Mamikonyants Street, which will connect Mamikonyants Street to Komitas Avenue via a pedestrian route.
At the addresses of 27 and 27a Kochar, the courtyard area is being renovated and a sports field is being constructed. At 22 Komitas Street, the garages have been dismantled, the area has been cleared, and renovations are underway to create a beautiful and green courtyard space along with a sports field.
Together with Yerevan’s Deputy Mayor Armen Pambukhchyan, we visited the reconstructed Merkelyan Park to inspect the ongoing works. We walked along Hakobyan Street and visited the Friendship underpass,” he stated.
