Zil Truck Goes Off Road, Crashes into Rocks and Overturns
On June 2, at 18:30, the crisis management center of the Kotayk regional rescue service received a call reporting that an accident had occurred on the Zar-Sevaberd highway, where a truck had overturned and there was a fuel leak, necessitating the assistance of rescuers.
A firefighting unit and a rescue team from the special operations center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations were dispatched to the scene.
It was determined that at the 2nd kilometer of the Zar-Sevaberd highway, a Zil truck (driver: G.G.) went off the traffic lane, crashed into rocks, and overturned; the driver was trapped in the cabin.
Before the rescuers arrived, a passenger, A.G., was freed from the vehicle by local forces and taken to the medical center.
Rescuers used hydraulic tools to extract the trapped driver from the truck and brought him to the ambulance.
