A 5.9 magnitude earthquake has struck Ishikawa Prefecture in Japan, a region that experienced a series of powerful quakes on January 1, 2024. This was reported by TASS, referencing the Japan Meteorological Agency.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Noto Peninsula area, with a depth of 10 kilometers. No reports have been made regarding casualties or damages.

A tsunami warning was issued but was lifted minutes later. A second tremor, nearly as strong as the first, occurred 10 minutes after the initial quake. Residents have been warned of the possibility of aftershocks and urged to remain calm and vigilant.
