Zelensky Thanks Biden for Allowing Strikes on Russian Territory with American Weapons

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting with U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. They discussed arms supplies and security guarantees for Ukraine, Zelensky announced on his Telegram channel, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

The meeting between the Ukrainian president and the Pentagon chief took place during the Asian summit of the Shangri-La Dialogue on security issues in Singapore. The parties discussed Ukraine's defense needs, strengthening air defense systems, the F-16 coalition, and preparations for a bilateral security agreement.

“I am grateful to President Biden for making the important decision to allow defensive strikes with American weapons on enemy territory, which will enable us to effectively counteract and expand the combat operations zone against Russia’s attempts,” noted Zelensky.
