Israeli Forces Report Attacks on 30 Targets in Gaza

Israeli forces continue operations in southern and central Gaza, with the Israeli Air Force striking 30 military targets within the Palestinian enclave in just one day. This information was reported by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“Over the past day, Israeli Air Force jets have targeted 30 terrorist objects, including military structures, weapon storage facilities, and armed terrorist squads posing threats to our troops,” the military statement reads.

“The IDF continues its targeted operations based on reconnaissance data in the Rafah area (southern Gaza), where substantial amounts of weaponry have been discovered and armed militants eliminated,” the statement adds.

In central Gaza, “over the past day, ground forces and air forces attacked a terrorist squad operating in the vicinity of a military facility, posing a threat to ground forces in that area,” according to the army's department.

The situation in the Middle East has sharply escalated since October 7, 2023, when armed supporters of the Palestinian Hamas movement infiltrated into Israeli territory from Gaza, accompanied by the killing of residents in border communities and the capture of more than 240 hostages.

Israel has declared a complete blockade of Gaza and has begun retaliatory strikes on areas in Lebanon and Syria, followed by ground operations in the enclave. Clashes are also taking place on the western bank of the Jordan River.
