Manasyan Believes Police Need to Learn Ethics and Conduct Rules
The political field should be as free as possible from discriminatory and hate speech. Yes, today’s processes are accompanied by all manifestations of discriminatory speech. This was stated by the Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan in the National Assembly.
“All political forces should bear in mind that they are also responsible for properly addressing these issues,” said Manasyan, addressing the use of hate speech.
When commenting on the actions of public officials and those providing public services, including police officers, Manasyan noted, “Police officers should also keep this in mind and be prepared for various situations; they themselves need to learn ethics, conduct rules, and negotiation skills. However, this does not mean that citizens can target them through unlawful means.”
