Pashinyan on the Banquet Involving Anna Hakobyan

There is no campaign against the church, there has never been, and there will not be one. If you see a campaign against the church, then you need to look elsewhere, and that place has nothing to do with the government of Armenia or the ruling majority.

This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in a conversation with reporters in the yard of the National Assembly.

When asked if he sees a political crisis in Armenia, Pashinyan noted: "What is a political crisis is written in political science textbooks; you can go and open them to see those definitions."

Pashinyan also addressed the uproar surrounding Anna Hakobyan's participation in the recent 'black and white' banquet. "Firstly, it was not a banquet, as far as I know, one of the key participants of that event was the mothers of soldiers who died in the 44-day war and in wars in general. That event was planned much earlier—about 5-6 months ago. As far as I know, one of the key purposes of that event was to comfort and support the mothers of the fallen soldiers, to be next to them, so that darkness would not dominate," he elaborated.
