Significant Evacuations in the Sanahin Station Area

The member of parliament from the ruling Civil Contract party, Aren Mkrtchyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “I was at the Sanahin station. There was impassability due to a thick layer of mud in the yard. The work of construction equipment started immediately, after which the problem significantly eased. Tomorrow, the mud will be removed. The local population has been largely evacuated. The water level has dropped significantly. An assessment of needs has been carried out on-site. 14 residents have been provided with food supplies, 4 have been transferred to a hotel, and one has received necessary medication.”
