Water Supply Suspended Due to Public Safety Concerns, Veolia Water Details

Due to the flooding of the Agstev River and its overflow, additional issues have arisen in the water supply system. Water supply has been suspended in several settlements for public safety reasons. This was reported by the Veolia Water company.

As Dilijan city receives water from mountain surface streams, and the rivers are currently highly polluted, the three water purification plants of Veolia Water in the city are structurally incapable of treating such a level of pollution, leading to the suspension of water supply in Dilijan as well.

Due to the flooding of the river, the water pipeline of the “Gmbet” water spring has been damaged, resulting in the suspension of water supply to the village of Gandzasar, which is fed from here.

The pumps at the “Lusadzor” and “Getapnya” pump stations have submerged in water. Water supply to the settlements fed from these stations has also been suspended.

In the Lori region, the contamination of the “Maymekh” water spring has also led to the suspension of water supply in the Vanadzor neighborhood of Vanadzor city.
