Nikol Pashinyan Heads to Disaster Zone

In response to media inquiries, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has departed for the disaster zone after listening to reports on the consequences of flooding from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure early this morning. This was indicated by the Prime Minister's spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan on her Facebook page.

She added, "Minister of Territorial Administration Gnel Sanosyan and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - Director of the Rescue Service Kamo Tsutsulyan have been at the site of the flooding since early morning."

It is reported that the waters of the Debed River overflowed its banks last night. Preliminary data indicates there is one casualty. More details to follow regarding the situation at Debed. According to initial reports, 232 citizens have been evacuated from dangerous areas.
