You are Political Pagans: Your Leader Under the Robe Spread Lies – Konyjoryan

Our opposition is busy with the simplest lies, and the laboratory sample of that lie was expressed here a little while ago. This was stated today during a session of the National Assembly by the leader of the Civil Contract faction, Hayk Konyjoryan.

“A few days ago, your leader under the robe spread lies that Aliyev was wandering around Shushi under the guise of some song, and your leader even announced yesterday that he was mistaken, acknowledging that he spread false information. Now your deputy, who spoke with a knife speech and left, came here and repeated the lie denied by your leader from this podium, and then you talk about sanctity, holiness, and a sacred struggle, trying to give these political processes a religious, Christian connotation,” said Konyjoryan.

Then addressing the opposition, he continued, “Dear colleagues, you are political pagans. Do you know why? Because a new political creed established in Armenia in 2018, called democracy, is in place. You, as political pagans, want to restore the old political creed, which was called banditry, and your political pagan movement also has a political pagan leader. You are so politically bankrupt that, prompted by an inability to generate a political text and vision, you are trying to seize political power in Armenia under the guise of a clergyman's robe.

You are political pagans, and you are trying to generate a political pagan movement to return to political banditry, but there is a new political creed in Armenia, and a return to the past is impossible. You want to hide under the robe, you want to hide under a scheme, whatever you want to hide under, and whatever character you want to come as,” he concluded.
