Video: How the Bodies of Iran's President and Other Victims Were Brought to Tehran Airport
A video has emerged showing how the bodies of those killed in the helicopter crash involving Iran's President Ebrahim Raisi were transferred to Tehran airport.
It is recalled that the helicopter carrying President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian crashed on May 19 in the northwestern part of the country, specifically in the Verzeghani region. The senior officials were returning from a ceremony for the opening of hydro-structures on the Aras River, which was attended by Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev.
Rescue teams were dispatched to the site of the emergency and conducted searches throughout the night, a task complicated by darkness and heavy rainfall.
On the morning of May 20, it was reported that the burnt remnants of the helicopter had been discovered, and all aboard the aircraft had perished. The crash resulted in the deaths of President Ebrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Eastern Azerbaijan Governor Malik Rahmati, Friday Prayer leader of Tabriz Ayatollah Mohammad Ali al-Hashemi, IRGC representative Seyed Mehdi Mousavi, and three crew members.
