Turkish Ground Forces Commander Visits Azerbaijan
The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov, met with a delegation led by Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu, the Commander of the Turkish Armed Forces' Ground Forces, who is on an official visit to the country, as reported by APA, referencing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense.
"The meeting also discussed the prospects for developing cooperation in the military and military-technical fields, as well as regional security issues. Following this, the Turkish delegation met with the First Deputy Minister of Defense, Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, Colonel General Kerim Valiyev, and the Minister of Defense's advisor, Colonel General Bahtiyar Ersay.
During the meetings held at the General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army, satisfaction was expressed with the current state of Azerbaijani-Turkish military cooperation, based on mutual trust and support... The importance of conducting joint exercises was emphasized for improving the professionalism of the military personnel of the two brotherly countries and exchanging experiences, along with discussions on several other issues," Azerbaijani media reported.
